An Announcement :-)

I have been itching to post about this, and now I can πŸ™‚

My youngest and her boyfriend got engaged at the weekend πŸ˜€

I knew it would happen sooner or later, hence me referring to him as son-in-law-to-be, but now he is that officially πŸ˜€

Here is a pic of her lovely ring – white gold and diamonds πŸ˜€

His ring is also very nice and has the words “Can I keep You?” inscribed inside πŸ˜€

They make a lovely couple, are very much in love and devoted to each other and I am very pleased to announce their engagement to the world πŸ˜€

I love them both and am very proud. Can you tell? LOL

Congratulations to you on getting a great son-in-law and to the happy couple! I find it medicine to the soul when I have something so positive happen in my life – it eats through the pain for a little bit. My youngest nephew and his wife just had a baby boy on Valentine’s Day! It was very good medicine indeed! πŸ™‚

Thank you πŸ™‚ I can cope with being a mum-in-law but I have told them I’m non too keen on becoming a grandma lol – I’d like to hold that off for another decade or two if possible. I’m still in my 40’s!!

My girls made me wait till I was 55 and now I am so far away that I miss a lot. My oldest granddaughter has autism and just a few weeks ago I talked on the phone with her and for the first time I could understand a lot of what she was saying. I wept tears of joy. Stuff like that keeps us humble. At least I think so.

Oh blimey! I would have cried too. That is wonderful that she’s progressing and making herself understood. I bet your daughter is very proud of her too, its a massive step forward πŸ™‚
Hmmmm…..I might let them off if they’ll let me get to 55. My daughter is 24 in March, so there’s plenty of time.
