I have been itching to post about this, and now I can π
My youngest and her boyfriend got engaged at the weekend π
I knew it would happen sooner or later, hence me referring to him as son-in-law-to-be, but now he is that officially π
Here is a pic of her lovely ring – white gold and diamonds π
His ring is also very nice and has the words “Can I keep You?” inscribed inside π
They make a lovely couple, are very much in love and devoted to each other and I am very pleased to announce their engagement to the world π
I love them both and am very proud. Can you tell? LOL
Awe that’s so lovely!! Congratulations!! π

Congratulations to you on getting a great son-in-law and to the happy couple! I find it medicine to the soul when I have something so positive happen in my life – it eats through the pain for a little bit. My youngest nephew and his wife just had a baby boy on Valentine’s Day! It was very good medicine indeed! π

Thank you π I can cope with being a mum-in-law but I have told them I’m non too keen on becoming a grandma lol – I’d like to hold that off for another decade or two if possible. I’m still in my 40’s!!

My girls made me wait till I was 55 and now I am so far away that I miss a lot. My oldest granddaughter has autism and just a few weeks ago I talked on the phone with her and for the first time I could understand a lot of what she was saying. I wept tears of joy. Stuff like that keeps us humble. At least I think so.

Oh blimey! I would have cried too. That is wonderful that she’s progressing and making herself understood. I bet your daughter is very proud of her too, its a massive step forward π
Hmmmm…..I might let them off if they’ll let me get to 55. My daughter is 24 in March, so there’s plenty of time.

True lots of time they need to have their own time first. A settling in phase before the settling kids in phase.
