Important Fibromyalgia News

http://guardianlv.com/2013/06/fibromyalgia-mystery-finally-solved/

I read about this earlier this year, and it’s disappointing that word hasn’t spread faster. So I thought I would post it here.

Please share this link as widely as possible, if you can.

If you have Fibromyalgia, print it out to show your GP and rheumatologist.

Spread the word!!!

At the same time as this news first broke, there was also a story about a vet who was trying to develop a blood test for an illness in animals that is similar to Fibromyalgia. He asked for human volunteers both with and without FM to donate blood for his research and he actually found some kind of similarity or ‘marker’ in the blood of the people with FM that wasn’t in the blood of non sufferers.

That research looks like being a huge step forward towards there being a blood test for Fibromyalgia, as well as pointing towards ways of treating it.

So fellow fibromites……..hold on to your “spoons”……do not despair, it looks as though breakthroughs are being made!!!

  1. I read about this a while ago. It would be great if researchers could develop a therapy that would help.

It would be a day for champagne and a ticker tape parade lol.
We just have to keep hoping. But at least now there is something tangible to pin our hopes on. And we can give the finger to anyone who thinks it is psychosomatic or “poorly researched” etc.
