Cobblestones

Just finished the beading on the “Cobblestone” bracelet. I’ve named it that for hopefully obvious reasons 😛 and is my own “design” in as much as it came all from me. From my head to hands to finished result.
I still have to add the ribbon clamps and a couple of jump rings for the toggle clasp to give it a bit of movement. But I have had enough of beading for today.

Cobblestones bracelet no.1

I’m really pleased with how this has turned out, actually. And it wasn’t at all expensive to make. I already have an ‘order’ for one from my other daughter, which is always a good sign.

It was my first ‘big’ make using cheap and cheerful fishing line too. And I have to say, I will be using it a lot more from now on. It is after all just monofilament and it is weight tested. But infinitely cheaper than so called specialist monofilament marketed for beading.

What’s next?
Probably finishing off the cab I beaded around and make it into another ring. But I am going to try a superfine monofilament instead of thread or elastic, see how that turns out 🙂

I also have a leather bracelet to make for myself using kumihimo (did I spell that right? LOL) so I can wear my gemstone pandora style beads 🙂

Partly beaded around cab pic below.
